Why Is The Village Hall Phone Ringing? | |

How do I submit a block party request? Fill out a block party request form, available on the Village's website or printed at Village Hall (5300 N Marlborough Dr, M-F, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). We will get back to you within one week of your submittal date. Please submit requests at least 30 days ahead of your desired party date.
What is the refuse and recycling collection schedule for Labor Day? As a result of the holiday, refuse and recycling typically collected on Monday, September 4, 2023, will be collected on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Is Village Hall closed to the public on Labor Day? Yes, Village Hall and Police Administration will be closed Monday, September 4, 2023. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
When is the next brush chipper collection? Brush will next be collected by Village crews next week (Beginning Sept 5). Brush should be placed in the parkway between the curb and the sidewalk.

Public Works Committee: Monday, August 21 | |

1) Village Wide Yield Sign Replacement (w/ STOP Signs)
After holding a Public Hearing, the Committee forwarded a recommendation to the Village Board to replace Yield signs throughout the Village with STOP signs.
2) Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations
The Committee forwarded recommendations to the Village Board to approve with the installation of two dual EV charging stations in the westernmost public parking garage on Beaumont and to approve a term sheet with WeEnergies for grant funding.
3) Schoolhouse Park
The Committee approved moving forward with replacement of the existing asphalt path with stamped concrete.

2024 Village Budget Discussion | |

The Village Board will begin discussing the 2024 budget at its meeting tonight, Monday, August 28, at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and will have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions. Village Board members look forward to hearing what services residents value most along with ideas for budget priorities.

Anna Christopherson Appointed as Whitefish Bay Assistant Village Manager
The Village of Whitefish Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Christopherson as Assistant Village Manager, effective September 18,
2023.
Anna brings over 5 years of municipal government experience. She began working with the City of Pewaukee as a Youth Sport Coordinator while completing her undergraduate studies and currently serves the City as a
Special Projects Assistant. During her time in Pewaukee, Anna assisted the
Community Development Department and also worked as an Assessment
Technician.
Anna graduated from North Central College (Naperville, IL) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She subsequently earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
In her role as Assistant Village Manager, Anna will be a key member of the Village Management Team and will assist the Village Manager and Village Board with the development of policies and procedures related to Village Governance, operations, and services; help prepare the annual Village budget; oversee the Village’s communications program, which includes the Village website, weekly e-newsletter, and social media;
coordinate special event permitting for local events, including the Fourth of July, Art Festival, Sounds of Summer, Pumpkin Festival, and many more; work closely with the Business Improvement District and Community Development Authority and will be involved in a variety of miscellaneous projects to help improve the community.
In addition to her public service work, Anna coaches soccer for the Pewaukee Varsity Girls team. When not on a soccer field coaching or playing soccer, she can be found kayaking on one of the many lakes in the Lake Country area. Anna is a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys reading mystery novels, playing cribbage, and going up north to the family cabin.

Brats and Cops
Wednesday, September 6
Join us for an end of summer grill out in the police department parking lot! We will be grilling brats and hot dogs from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We'll have station tours, squad car tours, and drone demonstrations.
Then join us at 6:00 p.m. for a Neighborhood Watch/Crime information meeting.

School is (or will soon be) back in session, and many choose to walk and bike to get there. Please travel safely and follow the tips outlined below.
For Drivers:
- Watch for children
- Obey school zone speed limits
- Do not pass a bus loading or unloading children
- Never pass vehicles stopped at crosswalks
- Pay attention to school crossing guards
- Eliminate distractions
- Use designated student drop-off and pick-up zone
For Bikers:
- Use the safest route to school
- Minimize street crossings
- Avoid busy roads
- Wear a helmet
- Wear bright-colored clothing
- Pay attention
- Obey rules on the sidewalk/road
For Pedestrians:
- Use sidewalks when possible
- Cross streets at intersections and crosswalks
- Always look both ways before crossing the street
- Pay attention and listen to crossing guards
- Pay attention to driveways and other entrances/exits
- Adopt a safe route home. Walk with others.
- Avoid talking to strangers

Its purpose is to guide visitors globally through any cathedral and enable recognition of saints and martyrs in works of art.

Interested in housing costs? Real estate? History? Action?
This interactive and discussion-based workshop led by Habitat for Humanity provides a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the impact of local history on housing patterns.
Through the examination of primary sources and data maps, participants will gain a better understanding of how intentional institutional choices resulted in segregated housing and the tangible effects that these decisions have had on the Milwaukee metro area.
In addition to analyzing recent housing trends, the workshop also offers a chance to make a commitment to affordable housing and learn practical ways to take informed action.
