Call For Action!

Tell Congress to Renew NFIP
before July 31st!
87 (7%) Spokane REALTORS®
have responded to date
There's an active Call for Action for all members to urge
Congress to renew the National Flood Insurance Program before July 31st.
The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will expire on July 31, denying necessary insurance coverage to homeowners and buyers in more than 20,000 communities nationwide.
Congress must act now to reform and extend the NFIP.
Take action by urging Congress to extend the NFIP and pass meaningful reforms to ensure long-term viability of the program.
The action is easy - just click on the button below to be included in the REALTOR
® Call for Action!
REALTOR® associations across the country - and across Washington state - are rallying to adjust the National Flood Insurance Program because they say its methods are outdated, keeping premiums too high and slowing house sales, among other things.
"It definitely becomes a barrier to closing a deal on time. And sometimes, especially in this day and age, consumers can lose out on interest rates," said Nathan Gorton, government affairs director for Washington Realtors.

Bill was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

SAR Retirement / Job Opportunities
|
We congratulate Debbie Crowder, SAR Education and Special Events Coordinator, who announces her retirement after 23 years at the SAR.
The strong organization of, and warm welcome to, our many classes and events over the years is credit, in large part, to Debbie's many efforts behind the scenes.
We will miss Debbie and her enthusiasm for her job immensely - and wish her many healthy and happy years in retirement with husband Dave.
A retirement reception for Debbie will be announced later this summer.
With Debbie's pending retirement, the association is seeking a qualified individual to continue in this position.

Can you fill one - only one - three-hour shift per month?
It would really be appreciated!
