FATHER COVETS OUR PRAISE

Our heavenly Father covets the praise and worship of His people, we, in whom He delights. If you sometimes feel a bit inadequate in just how to praise Him, there are some great examples in the Psalms. We can follow these patterns, or we can read them verbatim out loud.
One great example is found in Psalm 36:5-10. The Amplified Version renders it this way:
5. Your lovingkindness and graciousness, O LORD, extend to the skies, your faithfulness [reaches] to the clouds.
6. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, Your judgments are like the great deep. O LORD, You preserve man and beast.
7. How precious is your lovingkindness, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
8. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and you allow them to drink from the river of Your delights.
9. For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; in Your light we see light.
10. O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness [salvation] to the upright in heart.
What better way is there to praise the Lord than to speak aloud in worship the very praise and worship from His holy written word?!!

A DESERT PLACE

There will be times that God leads us to a desert place just as Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit immediately after being baptized by John.
A desert place is a place of dryness. It will seem that you can hardly function. You are dry in the physical and dry spiritually.
In looking at Jesus as our example, we see in Luke 4 that he was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. It says in Luke 4:2, “Being forty days tempted of the devil, and in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.”
In that wilderness place, Satan tempted Jesus by misquoting scripture. He defeated him by quoting the true Word of God and Luke 4:13 says after this Satan departed for “a season.”
You can be sure when we are led into a desert place that we will be severely tested just as Jesus was. But we must remember that our victory comes through quoting the word, fasting, and trusting God, just as Jesus did.
You might ask why God allows this. I would have to say it is to build our faith. When we can do things in our own strength then we do not rely upon God’s strength. When we are dry, he becomes our living water. When we are without strength, he becomes our strength. We learn about the fellowship of his sufferings in the desert place.
We can choose to go to the dry desert place like Jesus did, and come out of it stronger than ever, or we can choose to resist it and be shallow in our walk of faith. The choice is ours.

A PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

I was asked very recently what I hear from the Lord as to what is coming. I could say I have heard war is coming. I could say another plague is at the doorstep. I could say that there will be many lives that are lost in the very near future, and other things. Yet, the most important thing that I am hearing is that we must listen now to the leading of the Holy Spirit more than ever. Deception is at an all time high. With the methodology of AI and the determination to destroy Israel, we must seek God in our individual secret place more than ever. I could go so far as to say if the Lord doesn't give you absolute assurance to go somewhere, don't go. It might just save your life! We are to be led by the Holy Spirit and not the circumstances around us. We can never go wrong when we listen to God's direction. So many are looking to prophets and going to meetings to hear from God rather than seeking him for themselves. I compare this with a woman that gets married then has someone else spend time with her husband thus letting her know what he is like. Now that may sound foolish, but we are individually and corporately the bride of Christ. How ridiculous it would be to let another take our place. So, listen more than ever. Be watchful, and above all be led by our precious Holy Spirit. Stay free of fear and anxiety over the future, for none of us are promised tomorrow. Live today like it is your last and live it with no regrets.
