The holiday season is here which means the end of 2023 is right around the corner. This week, WDIY is hosting a short Year-End Membership Drive through Friday. This is a great opportunity for WDIY supporters like you to make one last tax-deductible charitable gift for the year — whether it be $25, $50, $100, or whatever amount you're comfortable with.
It all helps us end 2023 on solid financial ground so we can continue to bring you the programs you enjoy. Plus, everyone who donates will be eligible to enter our exclusive drawing for a WDIY-Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest Getaway, featuring a two-night hotel stay for you and a guest with passes to see:
-
The Baylor Project (April 12th)
-
Reading Blues Fest Day: Craig Thatcher & Friends: Eric Clapton Retrospective (April 13th)
-
Danielle Nicole (April 13th)
-
Jerome Collins (April 14th)
*A $1,200 value; no donation is necessary to enter the drawing
It's our way of saying thank you for supporting WDIY with a year-end gift.

WDIY Classics
Host: Andrew Tomlinson
Monday, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
This morning we'll highlight Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake suite – assembled after his death to showcase the atmosphere and color of Tchaikovsky’s 1875 work - now one of the most popular ballets of all time. But first we’ll hear Baroque Christmas music from Sammartini and Torelli; commanding chamber music from Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, a favorite of Louis XIV, the Sun King; and a masterful serenade for wind instruments from Mozart. Then we’ll move to Benjamin Britten’s 1945 composition ‘The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra’, (which highlights each instrument in turn), and Vivaldi’s solo sonata for oboe, as preserved in the archives at Dresden, whose musicians were so much admired by JS Bach.
