Save the Date!


Our 2024 Faculty Development Conference/Spotlight on Rural Poster and Recruitment Fair is now scheduled!


Our Spotlight on Rural Poster and Recruitment Fair will be held on Thursday, September 19th at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Central Wisconsin.


Our Faculty Development Conference will be held on Friday, September 20th at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.

Upcoming PCCS & FCCS Courses

SSM Monroe will be hosting PCCS & FCCS courses on the dates below. This is a four-year certification. Cost will be $250 per class.


Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS) Course

October 10 & 11, 2024

This course trains nonintensivists to recognize critical illness and initiate care for the critically ill pediatric patient and is recommended for any healthcare professional who may encounter a critically ill or injured pediatric patient.


The Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) Course August 15 & 16, 2024

This course provides healthcare professionals, including nonintensivists, with the training to manage critically ill patients for the first 24 hours or until appropriate critical care consultation can be arranged. The course concentrates on adult critical care but also includes separate sections on critical care for pregnancy and pediatrics.

Grow Local Student Interest in Your Hospital/Clinics with Wisconsin AHEC Partnerships

AHEC offers a variety of education and training programs designed to increase the distribution of the healthcare workforce in rural communities across Wisconsin. They serve over 5,000 learners annually, including high school students, college and health professions students, and currently practicing health professionals. 


You can extend your organization’s reach by partnering with your local AHEC Center:

  • Host a student for a hands-on community health internship or field placement
  • Lend your expertise to our curriculum through virtual or in-person presentations/demonstrations
  • Serve as a member of your local AHEC Center’s board of directors
  • Use our experienced staff to organize and facilitate your community health education event
