Here are a few March highlights:

• The Cross-Border Institute is providing $25,000 in funding support for WCRG's PASSPORTS campaign!!   
• The WCRG Research Development Committee had it's first meeting this month with representation from St. Clair College, UWindsor and Windsor Regional Hospital - you'll be hearing more from this group.    
• A Student Volunteer Committee was formed, they had their first meeting and are putting together some great activities and educational materials for our upcoming community events! 
• Dr. Jeff Zonder from Karmanos Cancer Institute has accepted our invitation to be on the WCRG Executive Committee.

• Dr. Marlys Koschinsky received the University of Windsor's award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity 

• Dr. Hamm in collaboration with WRCP oncologists and the University of Windsor's Pamathy Vivek and Dr. Maher El-Masri has had their study, Outcomes of patients with triple-negative breast cancer compared to non-triple negative breast cancer: A single-centre accepted for a poster session at The American Society of Clinical Oncology Conference

• Two abstracts have been accepted for the 16th Bienniel NeuroOncology meeting in June: Hematological toxicities in GBM and a Case report /review of Hemangio pericytoma of CNS by Drs. Alam, Kulkarni, Hirmiz and Schneider.
