WASH Symposium - Sat. Oct 19 - Denver, CO
District 5450 and the Rotary Club of Evergreen are working jointly to provide a hybrid symposium you can attend in person or virtually on Sat. Oct 19, in Denver, CO.
Building resilience in water, sanitation, and hygiene projects is crucial for ensuring sustainable and effective systems. This is especially true in the face of climate change, population growth, conflict, and emergencies.

Creating Awareness
The WASH Ambassadors have a monthly Zoom training program called "Conversations." This month, WASH Ambassador Charlotte Roehm presented on the resources available on WASH in general and WASH-RAG specifically.

|
The WASH Ambassador program is expanding rapidly around the globe. With over 120 members, it has been divided into geographic regions to allow programs to be tailored to the area's languages, cultures, and time zones.
Recently, some resources have been translated into numerous languages.

Donation to Water Is Life
The Whisk(e)y D.R.A.M. Fellowship, starting in 2022, uses a portion of its membership fees to support clean water initiatives. Recently, they donated $4,000 to WaterIsLife, a program run by the Rotary Club of Fishers, IN. This program digs wells in Sierra Leone.
To date, WaterIsLife has drilled over 155 wells, providing water for over 150,000 people in Sierra Leone.

Make a Difference
The WASH Rotary Action Group is divided into two sections; the Board of Directors, which sets policy. Elections to the Board happen once a year.
The other section is the Operations Team, which does many activities, from reviewing Global Grants to WASH Ambassadors. We are always looking for new people to get involved.

The WASH Rotary Action Group is pleased to consider partnerships with any corporate supporter. Due to the unique attributes of water sources and water provision, accepting corporate support does not imply an endorsement of any particular water technology. Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, and Rotary partners must evaluate any technology to determine if it is the best solution for the conditions where the program will be implemented. The WASH Rotary Action Group can provide guidance about where different technologies work best, but Rotarians and Rotary clubs must decide how to implement their programs.
This Rotary Action Group is recognized and operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International. To learn more please contact the WASH Rotary Action Group by email at info@wash-rag.org Thank you.
