Parade of Homes- There will be TWO Parade of Homes again this year! The typical June Parade of Homes will be June 7-12th and we will host another Fall Parade of Homes, date TBD.

*Builders- please watch your emails for the June contract, this will be due Feb 17th.

Building Youth into Builders- A valued teacher member of this committee, Jacob Stachovak lost his battle with cancer. The committee enjoyed getting to know Jake through his passion for the students at Wausau East. Please join us in supporting our community as we all feel the impact of this loss. Obituary for Jacob R. Stachovak

*Community fund-raising benefit will be held at Homestead on Sunday Jan 16th. Money raised will be used to cover final expenses, help his widow and support scholarship being made in his name for Wausau East students.

-If you have something you would like to contribute, please let us know or contact Homestead.

Membership- One task we are tackling through the Membership Committee is updating our Hall of Fame and Honorary Member lists! If you would like to nominate a previous member for consideration, please let us know.

YOU CAN GET

Health Insurance

THROUGH YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Health insurance remains one of the most expensive and frustrating employee benefits your business offers. Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) passed, many have experienced price increases, limited plan options, and a lack of carrier availability.

The WBA heard your concerns and is proud to announce the new WBA Association Health Plan in conjunction with The Insurance Center of Wisconsin and underwritten by WPS Health Insurance. WBA membership is required of the business owner, there is health underwriting, and health insurance must be offered to all your employees.

What Can YOu DO 2.jpg

Would you like to be more involved with WABA or do something to help out the building industry in your community? Here are some things we would love your help with!

Donate a gift basket for the WBA President Installation

You can drop it off at the WABA Office

prior to Jan 21st.

Help provide extra materials for the underfunded construction classes in our community.

Current needs:

-Wausau West is looking for various

roofing materials, can be

used/damaged. The teacher will even

come to pick up materials from you!

-Marathon HS is looking for a 6-panel, 30" door to be used in their mock build. Request is for something sturdy enough to be installed and uninstalled by students repeatedly.

• Join a WABA Committee! Most committees meet monthly or seasonally. Even if you provide limited assistance, we would love to have your help. Committees actively seeking new members- Parade of Homes, Home Show, Silent Auction, Golf, & Marketing.

• Talk to Prospective Members - WABA would like to reach our goal of 200 members. Please talk about the benefits of being a WABA member with others in our industry.
