Volunteer Phenom Awards
This year, during Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 17-21, Pheo Para Alliance will recognize volunteers who have provided outstanding service to the pheo para community. An open call for nominations will be held April 1-10. Nominate a phriend below!

The award categories are:

Phriend of the Year: The most prestigious award given, this individual has served as an enduring advocate leader for those with pheo para through their service as a beacon of inspiration for others affected now and in the future.

Peer Support Award: This award is given to an individual who has fostered connections between patients and those affected with others, shared knowledge and experience, provided a supportive community and helped decrease isolation and fear of living with the disease.

Youth Award: This award is given to a patient, under 30 years of age, who has served the mission of Pheo Para Alliance and helped those affected by pheo para.

Fundraiser Award: This award is given to the person who has raised the most funds and inspired others to do the same for the mission of PPA.

Ambassador Award: This award is given to the person who has raised awareness of the illness and struggles of patients through their own platform.
Phil Cadorette Join the Pheo Para Alliance Board of Directors
Pheo Para Alliance welcomes Phil Cadorette to the Phamily!

Phil currently works at Jones Lang LaSalle in New York City where he is focused on capital markets advisory for commercial real estate transactions. Previously he held roles in healthcare investment banking at Nomura Securities and in private equity at Blackstone. During his tenure at Nomura, he was involved in capital raising and mergers & acquisitions for companies across the Life Sciences and Healthcare Services industry. His experience in investment banking working with biotech companies in the orphan and rare disease space has helped him better understand and appreciate both the level of awareness and exorbitant funding that is required for researching these types of diseases.

Phil graduated from Babson College in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Finance concentration. He lives in New York City and enjoys golf and tennis.
Stephanie Alband, Executive Director, Speaks at ENETS/INCA Symposium in Vienna
Focused insights from neuroendocrine cancer patient advocates and NET specialists were shared and discussed at the INCA/ENETS Symposium on March 23rd, 2023. The event was held during the 20th Annual ENETS Conference in Vienna, Austria.

The symposium titled “Working Together to Improve Patient Outcomes” was chaired by INCA President Mark McDonnell and ENETS Chair Eva Tiensuu Janson.

Patient input in research was one of the topics presented by Stephanie Alband along with Dr. Simron Singh, Odette Cancer Research Program at Sunnybrook Research Institute in Toronto.
