New Snail-Mail Address Announcement

After more than two years of chronic issues with the National Office snail mail, we now have a post office box. It provides more security and reliability for timely delivery. While our physical office address remains the same, we are in the process of populating all our forms, website, etc. with this new mailing address. Please use this address for all mail sent through the United States Postal Service:

Brotherhood of St. Andrew National Office

Post Office Box 1382, Louisville, KY 40201

(For all mail/package vendors aside from USPS,

please still use our physical address.)

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew supports Cursillo. Many of our members attended a Cursillo Weekend and have continued 4th-Day Activities including Reunion Groups. Many of our members are Members At Large and do not have access to Ultreyas or Reunion Groups.

We are asking for your support as we move towards providing a scheduled weekly time for a Group Reunion format. What we need are some Brotherhood members that would assist and support this happening on a regular basis.

The Brotherhood will schedule a Zoom time and link that is most suitable for this activity. We will support this effort and keep our members informed of the time and schedule.

Please contact Roy Benavides, Tom Welch, or Jeff Butcher about this initiative. With your support and assistance, we can make this a part of our disciplines.

Please contact us at 502-450-5640 or 502-930-0658. Ultrelya!

From the Director’s Chair

By Tom Welch, Executive Director

It's summer-time HOT at HQ ...

For the first time since our HQ moved to Louisville in 2017, our city will host FOUR national conferences within the Episcopal Church: Episcopal Church Women, the Union of Black Episcopalians, Daughters of the King and General Convention for the Episcopal Church, all within days of each other, and one of them concurrently. By the end of June, the Episcopal Church will have elected a new Presiding Bishop. All of these happen three blocks from your National Office. We will have visitors in the office and at our booth during General Convention. If you or someone you know is attending the conference, please drop us an email with that information. Our contact information is above.

As you know, every Wednesday BStA hosts mid-day prayers. That link is always in this newsletter. We also have the opportunity to join a special prayer-line webinar leading up to Presiding Bishop’s final REVIVAL as a prelude to General Convention. For 15 minutes each Wednesday at 3 p.m. (Eastern) leading up to the convention there is a time for prayer. Prayer has always been our central focus. Please take a few dedicated minutes for this special time in the life of the church. Here’s the link for that:

Additionally, we ask for your prayers as I join Province VIII President Eric Fisher for a workshop open to all at his parish near San Luis Obispo, California. The agenda for that workshop is available at:

During this same trip I will also visit with the Brotherhood Chapter at Holy Trinity/St. Benedict in Alhambra (Los Angeles area) culminating with offering the homily there on June 9th.

One more thing: Our Communications and Marketing teams are hard at work with some rebranding and messaging efforts. They should be ready for initial rollout around Father’s Day and on display at General Convention. We ask for your prayers as we discern and articulate the message.

Are you starting to see a trend and theme in this edition? It’s prayer. Prayer changes things. Prayer brought about life-changing events throughout scripture. Prayer brought about the birth of our mutual ministry 140 years ago at St. James Cathedral in Chicago. Prayer brought me to become your Executive Director in 2017. Prayer is bringing new chapters to life. Prayer has brought chapters once dark for years, back to life. And prayer will lead us onward to fulfillment of The Great Commission. Above all else we ask of you from the staff and elected leaders of this ministry, we covet your prayers. THANK YOU!

VP Dick Hooper and the Membership Committee of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew have an addition devotion for the Stations of the Cross. This is service is in addition to our Devotional Handbook. It is timely and well done. We urge chapters to include this service with your routine devotions during your time together as Brothers Andrew. The Power Point and Service is available on the Prayer page of the BStA website or you can download the guide here.

We can all spare 20 minutes in prayer. It's like stopping at the faith service station to fill your prayer tank!

Please join us every week when you can to recharge your prayer batteries!
