Visit UCNS Representatives at the AAN Annual Meeting in Boston

Are you attending the upcoming American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting in Boston? If you are attending the meeting, take advantage of the following opportunities to meet with UCNS staff representatives:

Exhibit Booth - Stop by UCNS booth #864 during exhibit hours to get information on UCNS certification, continuous certification, and accreditation. Meet the staff, Todd Bulson, Senior Manager Certification, Bryan Hagerla, Continuous Certification Manager, and Amanda Carpenter, Senior Manager Accreditation, who will be available during exhibit hours.

Faculty & Trainee Reception - On Monday, April 24th from 6-8 pm, UCNS will have representatives available at the Faculty & Trainee Reception to answer questions and provide information about UCNS-accredited fellowship programs. Residents can explore the available fellowship opportunities, and faculty and program directors can get information on how to accredit their subspecialty training programs.

Trainee & Educator Hub - UCNS will present "Why, When & How - UCNS Accreditation and Your Program" on Tuesday, April 25th at 9 am.

Application Deadlines Approaching for 2023 UCNS Certification Exams

The online application periods are currently open for three UCNS neurologic subspecialty certification examinations but application deadlines are coming up!

Neuro-oncology Certification Examination

Extended Application Deadline: April 30

Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology Certification Examination

Early application deadline: May 1
Extended Application Deadline: May 15 ($500 fee applies)

Neurocritical Care Certification Examination

Early Application Deadline: June 1
Extended Application Deadline: June 15 ($500 fee applies)

Submissions Accepted Now for 2024 C-cert Reading Lists

What are the new developments in your neurologic subspecialty field of medicine? What are the recent "must-read" articles or practice guidelines for physicians who practice in the subspecialty? Has there been an outstanding article discussed in your journal club or research presented at a meeting you've attended?

Journal articles and practice guidelines submissions submitted by July 31, 2023, will be considered in the selection process for inclusion in the C-cert annual reading list that will be released in early 2024.

April 30: Neuro-oncology Certification Examination extended application deadline ($500 fee applies)

May 1: Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology Certification Examination early application deadline

May 15: Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology Certification Exam extended application deadline ($500 fee applies)

May 31: C-cert early payment discounted rate deadline for UCNS diplomates

June 1: Neurocritical Care Certification Examination early application deadline

June 15 : Neurocritical Care Certification Examination extended application deadline ($500 fee applies)

July 31: Accreditation applications due for fellowship training programs (fall review cycle)

July 31: Journal article submission deadline for 2024 C-cert reading list consideration
