Whether you're enjoying an ice cream cone during the day, sipping cocktails under the stars or dancing the night away to live music, there are lots of options day or night to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Embark on a scenic drive along the Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway, where the road unfolds like a ribbon of adventure, offering glimpses of pristine coastline, lush spoil islands, and sparkling waterways. Keep your eyes peeled for ospreys soaring overhead, dolphins frolicking in the waves, and manatees lazily drifting along the shorelines.
During the day the unspoiled sands of Sebastian Inlet State Park provide the perfect backdrop for a day of sunbathing, beachcombing, and swimming. The park is a haven for surfers, with its consistent waves drawing enthusiasts from all over. The Indian River Lagoon, known as one of the most biodiverse estuaries in North America, teems with a variety of fish species. Anglers can enjoy both freshwater and saltwater fishing, with opportunities to catch snook, redfish, and tarpon. The Sebastian Inlet is particularly famous for its prolific fishing spots, where seasoned fishermen and novices alike can try their luck, or charter one of our experienced captains to put you on a keeper.

Whether you're out on the water or strolling along the scenic shoreline with friends, let the natural splendor of our coastal paradise is sure to leave you breathless.
Embark on outdoor adventures in the Sebastian River area, experience the abundance of opportunities to reconnect with friends, family and the natural world.

TOURISM PARTNER SPOTLIGHT | |
"From Dreams to Desserts: Pops Ice Cream, A Family Legacy"
In the heart of Sebastian, Florida, a dream decades in the making has blossomed into a beloved local gem, "Pops Ice Cream." Nestled in the sunny coastal community, this charming shop is more than just a place to indulge in a cold cone—it's a testament to family legacy and a dedication to craft.
Meet Amy Weiss, the passionate operator behind Pops Ice Cream. For Amy, ice cream isn't just a business venture; it's a fulfillment of her father's dream. Fondly known as "Pops," Amy's father Michael envisioned crafting homemade, high-quality ice cream from genuine ingredients long before the family traded bustling New York City for the laid-back shores of Florida.
Amy's journey to Pops Ice Cream was a leap of faith from a career in veterinary medicine to embrace her family's dreams. Following in her father's footsteps, she left Tennessee to join him in Vero Beach in 2019, breathing new life into an existing ice cream shop in Sebastian. Together, they transformed it into their own, a cozy haven where locals and tourists alike can savor the taste of happiness.
What sets Pops Ice Cream apart? It's all in the details. With a commitment to quality, each scoop boasts a rich 16% butterfat content, elevating every flavor to a super-premium level. Utilizing milk from Florida dairy farmers, Pops offers not only traditional favorites but also vegan, gluten-free, and alcohol-infused varieties, ensuring there's something to delight you.
But the magic doesn't stop there. Step inside Pops Ice Cream, and you'll find more than just delicious treats—it's a space designed for connection. With a designated phone-free zone, patrons are encouraged to savor their scoops while reconnecting with loved ones, creating memories as sweet as the ice cream itself.
For Amy, the journey of crafting the perfect scoop is an ongoing adventure. Every Wednesday morning, she can be found experimenting with new flavors, sourcing local ingredients to infuse each batch with coastal charm. While some classics like lemon ice remain sourced externally, the majority of Pops' impressive 54 flavors are meticulously crafted in-house, a testament to Amy's dedication to her craft.
As July approaches, mark your calendars for National Ice Cream Month and join the celebration at Pops Ice Cream. This year, they're not only serving up scoops of joy but also commemorating their five-year anniversary—an achievement worth indulging in.
But beyond the creamy delights, Pops Ice Cream is a reflection of the vibrant community it serves. Amy's love for the area shines through in every scoop, and with two-thirds of her children working alongside her, the shop exudes a warm, family-friendly charm that perfectly complements Sebastian's relaxed riverside vibe.
So whether you're a local looking for your next sweet fix or a visitor seeking a taste of authentic coastal flavor, make sure to swing by Pops Ice Cream. After all, every scoop is more than just a treat—it's a sweet reminder that dreams do come true, one scoop at a time.
