Halton Hills Sticker Map Program

Support Local Businesses with the Sticker Map Program!

This summer, Halton Hills is offering a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the town and support local businesses through the Sticker Map Program. From June 1 to August 31, participants can collect stickers at various locations, showcasing the best of what our town has to offer. 


How It Works: 

  1. Pick up your Sticker Map from any participating Town facility location
  2. Travel around Georgetown, Acton, and Glen Williams and collect 1 mini sticker from a participating business from each location and put them on your big map sticker map.   
  3. Stick your completed map on your water bottle, bike, computer, helmet, or wherever you'd like. 
  4. Take a photo of your completed sticker map and upload it to visithaltonhills.ca/stickersubmission for a chance to win 1 of 3 grand prize packs!  
  5. Show us your adventure by tagging @visthaltonhills on social or using #visithaltonhills.

 Collision Toronto 2024

Exploring Halton’s Innovation Ecosystem: Insights for International Tech Businesses 

From June 17-20, Toronto hosted Collision, one of the world’s largest tech conferences, attracting over 40,000 participants from more than 130 countries.


Through Collision, Halton Region, in collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation & Trade, Burlington’s TechPlaceHalton Hills Economic Development, and Oakville Economic Development and Innovation Factory hosted international delegates on a tour of Halton’s innovation ecosystem. Attendees came from around the globe including Brazil, Chile, Italy, Jamaica, and Thailand.  


The tour showcased the region’s vibrant tech scene, including a stop at Geotab's headquarters in Oakville and an afternoon of presentations and panel discussion at Tech Place. Panel discussions highlighted Halton’s supportive business services, including pathways for international businesses and collaboration opportunities with post-secondary institutions through co-op programs and research initiatives.

Halton Employers: Take the Halton Region 2024 Employment Survey

Are you a business owner in Halton? Halton Region is conducting their annual Employment Survey. Your input will help monitor regional employment activities and trends and inform policy decisions to support future economic growth in Halton.


Here's what you need to know:

  • The survey will take about five minutes to complete.
  • The survey will be open until September 30, 2024.
  • Survey results will be reported through our annual Employment Survey Results report in 2025. We will also share the data with our Local Municipalities (the City of Burlington and the Towns of Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville).
  • Your responses will not be disclosed publicly, unless required to do so by law. Responses will be grouped together and no individual company will be identified.


Halton Region Survey Team:

The Region will also be reaching out to local business owners in-person, by phone or by email through a team of nine Regional Employment Surveyors. If you are unsure whether a surveyor is a Halton Region employee, please call 311 or 905-825-6000 to confirm. Alternatively, you can ask for the Employment Surveyor to contact you using a verified Halton email address.
