WORLDS FINEST OPTICAL FILTERS ACROSS THE SPECTRUM

Join us in San Francisco from January 28th - February 3rd at Photonics West and Photonics West BiOS.

At BiOS, scientists and clinicians come from across the country to engage with leaders in biophotonics, biomedical optics, and imaging technology. Stop by booth #8224 to learn more about our filters for life science and biomedical applications.

Come see us at Photonics West, one of the most important conferences for lasers and optics across the spectrum. Visit us at booth #3224!

Come visit us at the Biophysical Society's 67th Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA from February 18th - 22nd. The Biophysical Society Meeting is an opportunity for scientists to share advances in biophysics central to developing treatments for diseases, the development of effective pharmaceuticals, and new discoveries in the field.

Visit us in booth #519!

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: Tristimulus Filters

Chroma designs/manufactures tristimulus filters that take the response function of a detector and/or spectral power distribution of a light source. With accurate filters In a colorimeter, the light passes through the filters which match the intended color-matching functions. This increases the accuracy of the measurement of your display’s spectral power distribution, allowing accurate calibration of your display. Chroma tristimulus filters have f1’ error <= 3-3.5%.

The theoretical transmittance spectra of a highly optimized interference coating design for a tristimulus filter can mimic a target spectrum with a near-zero spectral mismatch. Our process of making such a filter requires a tightly controlled deposition that employs broadband in situ spectral monitoring.

Chroma’s customized filters consider the response function of the detector and/or the spectral power distribution of a light source. Whether you need filters matching the Standard Observer functions or your own Customized functions, we’ve got your solution.

COMMUNITY

We have officially wrapped up our annual Secret Santa program! This program is run every year with the goal of helping families who may need extra help around the holidays. Our volunteers (the elves) donate time and money to shop for, wrap, and deliver something each child wants, needs, something to wear, and something to read, as well as anything else they believe the children will appreciate as a gift!

This year 67 elves came together and made it possible for us to cover children from 7 schools across the county! This is more than we have been able to do in the past, and the outpouring of support has been amazing to see. The Chroma halls have never been so full of gifts! All of which were delivered to the schools to be picked up by the families.
