Visit Canton is Moving!

Please join us for a behind-the-scenes look at our new office and Downtown Canton Welcome Center located across from Centennial Plaza at 401 Market Ave. N.

On Friday, March 1st stop in any time between 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for a tour of the new Visit Canton space. Enjoy light appetizers and stay for brief remarks and a champagne toast at 4:30 p.m.

Come celebrate the opening of Visit Canton's new main office headquarters as well as an expanded Downtown Welcome Center and souvenir shop.

The new Downtown Welcome Center will remain open to the public during First Friday from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Jen comes to Visit Canton from her most recent position as Administrative Assistant and Receptionist at the Hall of Fame Village. She was born and raised in the Canton area and attended college at the University of Dayton. Jen and her husband, Dan, reside in North Canton with their two children, Matthew and Sophia, and almost 16-year-old dog, Bernie! Outside of work, Jen is most often attending her kids' various activities, teaching Sunday School, reading books, and spending time with friends and family!

Gabe Baker graduated from the University of Mount Union last year with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Business and minor in Entrepreneurship and Leadership. While in college, he interned at Visit Canton and is overjoyed to return to the team as a full-time employee. Gabe’s world revolves around his favorite ladies: his wife, Haylee, 18-month-old daughter, Daisy Mae, and one-month-old daughter, Saydee Rae. When Gabe isn't at work, you'll find him with his family, watching movies, and letting the Cleveland Browns break his heart during the NFL Season.

America's Playing Field | Summer Travel Show

As tourism season heats up, Visit Canton will host a travel showcase at the Belden Village Mall. Exhibitor Booths will be available for industry partners to highlight fun attractions, events, and things to do around Stark County all summer long!

The center court stage will be available for partners to showcase special programs and performances. Step into the spotlight on the stage to entertain and engage!

FRONTLINE FAM PASS

NEW! Visit Canton aims to have the most knowledgeable and helpful staff in tourism! In previous iterations of the STAR Frontline Training Program we built a passport of admission tickets and coupons for participants to experience our attractions first hand. This program is being transitioned to a digital pass. We encourage partners to offer free admission to frontline staff to familiarize them to your attraction! This pass will not be publicly available.

Destination Enhancement Grants Awarded

Visit Canton, the Stark County Convention & Visitors’ Bureau, awarded $388,611.88 in 2024 Destination Enhancement Grants to 11 Stark County Organizations. Visit Canton received 18 Destination Enhancement Grant applications, totaling over $709,000 in funds requested. Read More!

ArtsinStark has announced a new stream of project-based funding for collaborations across Stark County: Arts Impact Grants.

Funds will be available for partnership-based projects in alignment with ArtsinStark’s strategic focus on Arts & Education, Arts & Well-being and Arts & Vitality.

Individual artists, unincorporated collectives, and commercial endeavors must partner with a not-for-profit organization to apply.

Funding will be available for projects taking place in Stark County between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 that engages the shared constituents of both partners. Awards will be $2,500 – $7,500 per project. Applications Open February 6 - March 21, 2024.

The Akron-Canton Airport has announced a new direct flight to Los Angeles! The non-stop service between CAK and LAX will begin on May 23rd on Breeze Airways.

Former NFL Player and Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, Donald Driver, has opened Driven Elite Fitness at the Hall of Fame Village! This facility is one of three in the country.

Congratulations to the Canton Museum of Art on receiving an America 250 - Ohio Grant!
