Worlds of Work (WOW) Career Expo is a fun opportunity for students to learn about high-demand, high-wage career opportunities available in the North Alabama region. WOW creates awareness about exciting career options among students and educators while addressing workforce needs in the region.
This year's WOW will be presented virtually. Students from North Alabama's 13-county workforce development region will experience a game-like online career exploration tool that allows students to investigate careers within each of the Worlds of Work. Region 1 includes the counties of Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, Marion, Morgan, and Winston.
Later this spring students will explore careers through a game-like environment featuring company names, logos, and even virtual booths sponsored by companies. This great new platform will not only be available this spring, but for the rest of the year as well. Students, parents, educators, and communities throughout the region will have access to learning about exciting career opportunities in North Alabama.
