MassSupport Network Provides Free Community Outreach and Support Services to Youth and Adults Statewide

Given all the changes, uncertainty, and loss associated with COVID-19, we know that we as a community are concerned about our children, families and loved ones, and we would like to offer some assistance. MassSupport Network provides free community outreach and support services to youth and adults statewide. Our “Crisis Counseling Program” is a partnership between the MA Department of Health and Riverside Trauma Center and is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA).

New Volunteer Platform!

We are excited to announce a change in how the Cape and Islands United Way supports volunteerism in our community.
As you know, we have managed the Cape Cod Volunteers website (capecodvolunteers.org) for the last five years. Through this site, much work has been done by volunteers and organizations to make a meaningful and lasting impact in our community, and now we have the tools to improve upon that foundation.
Recently, as a response to the crisis created by COVID-19, the Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) invited us to join them in bringing a new platform to our area. This platform – We Connect for Good – is already operational and successful in several major cities across the country. It is available at no expense to our region’s active nonprofits.
COVID Relief Funds Available -
Supporting the Local Nonprofits that Support Our Community

Early in 2020, the Cape and Islands United Way established the COVID-19 Community Response Fund to provide much needed funding for our nonprofit community.

Thanks to our generous donors, we have more funds available. You can apply online to receive a community response grant of up to $5,000 by clicking button below.

The first priority area of funding is for organizations providing access to basic needs (food, shelter, emergency assistance). Funds will be distributed equitably based on geography and need. We have also partnered with the Major Crisis Relief Fund and the Cape Cod Foundation so we can better serve the community from all angles. If you are an individual or family in need, please contact the Major Crisis Relief Fund.
