Featuring: 'How to Protect Ourselves from Hazards on Earth and in Space'
Instead of the traditional one day, in-person event, the
2020 School's Out, Make It Count Conference will take place virtually from October 10th - 30th. Join us for live workshops October 17th and 20th and on-demand workshops available through October 30th.
The 2020 Conference will feature more than 60 virtual workshops, including seven sessions devoted to STEM learning. One such workshop is How to Protect Ourselves from Hazards on Earth and in Space with Lori Rubino-Hare, Anne Hamlin and Sean Ryan from the Northern Arizona University Center for Science Teaching and Learning.
Come play a collaborative game that teaches children grades 3-5 about space hazards. It's part of a free, NASA-funded, and research-based STEM curriculum for out-of-school time (OST) programs. See how to access three different units designed for grades 3-8 that integrate engineering and planetary science and find out about online support materials designed for and with OST educators.
