Virtual NASN2024 Daily Recap: Day 1

Dear Sharon,

Virtual NASN2024 kicked off on Monday, July 8 with a morning welcome from NASN President Kate King, DNP, M.S., RN, LSN, and then moved right into back-to-back educational sessions with each hosting a Q-and-A with speakers immediately afterward.

Recordings of educational sessions streamed on Monday will be available during the week of July 15. [NOTE: The sponsored session in the afternoon will not have a recording and there are no NCPD contact hours for sessions that are sponsored.]

Framework Updates

The Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice™ (Framework) was developed in 2015. While many aspects of school nursing remain the same over time, there are nuances of school nursing practice that have shifted during the past decade. These shifts influenced NASN to refresh the Framework in 2024. One change associated with the refresh is a new name, School Nursing Practice Framework™ (Framework). With the recent refresh, please expect to see the former and new names of the Framework referenced at different times during this conference.

You can locate resources shared by speakers on the RESOURCES tab of the virtual presentation. Each educational session in the schedule should have slides. Some sessions may have handouts. Feel free to save resources to your computer or print them on your printer.
