March Is Colorectal Awareness Month

A message from Dr. Leslie Saltzman: Screening for colon cancer is recommended for average-risk people starting at age 45. If you are experiencing symptoms, talk to your doctor or provider immediately. Earlier screening is recommended if you have a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps, have a genetic risk for colorectal cancer such as Lynch Syndrome or FAP, have a personal history of cancer, or you have ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease or Crohn's disease.
