Vendor Contracts: In the Mail

From its inception, the Virginia Fly & Wine has been committed to bringing new folks into the quiet sport. We do this through a variety of free and specialty paid classes taught by local, regional, and national experts.

We also invite a host of great Virginia wineries, breweries, and distilleries, as well as authors, guides, outfitters, specialty fly tyers, manufacturers, lodges, and fly fishing personalities from across the country.

If you are were a vendor last year and want to retain the same location, deposits are now due. After July 1st, locations will be opened up for new vendors.

If you didn't receive a vendor package but would like one, contact us at Fishutopia@comcast.net

Talking Fly Fishing &

Book Signings

If you're looking for a place to hone up on your fly fishing skills, or meet new folks in the industry we have a few suggestions for you.

Festival Director and Author Beau Beasley will be talking about this year's upcoming Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival, along with selling his latest book this coming weekend and next.

First if you're near Maggie Valley, North Carolina make plans to attend the second annual Maggie Valley Fly Fishing Festival with various vendors and speakers in attendance. This is done in cooperation with Maggie Valley Fly Shop.

Next weekend in Fredericksburg, Virginia make plans to visit our friends at A Smith Bowman Distillery. They will be hosting their first ever Fly Fishing & Bourbon event. This is another opportunity to learn more about the sport, get a good understanding about how bourbon is made, and find out what's going to be new at the 2025 Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival. Did we mention there will be tastings ?.....;)

Bob Gartner: A Selfless Leader

For more than 15 years Bob Gartner has faithfully served as Fort Belvoir's Program Lead for Project Healing Waters.

Gartner has spent thousands of volunteer hours working to help veterans become more involved with fly tying and fly fishing by heading up weekly program meetings, and other events. Above he's helping out and tying flies at the annual Fly Tying Marathon held at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico.

Monday June 17th, will be Gartner's last meeting as the Program Lead at Fort Belvior. He leaves a legacy of having made a tremendously positive impact on the lives of hundreds of veterans and their families. Thanks Bob !!!
