Youngkin urges parents to report 'divisive' teaching methods

Gov. Glenn Youngkin is urging parents to report "divisive practices" in schools to his administration using a newly established email tip line. During a radio talk show appearance Monday, Youngkin provided an open-ended explanation about what counts as divisive practices, and discussed racial issues like white privilege and critical race theory.

Henrico Schools to implement test-to-stay COVID-19 program - The Henrico Citizen

Henrico County Public Schools soon will participate in the state health department's test-to-stay program, which allows unvaccinated students exposed to COVID-19 to continue attending school during their quarantine period. The program requires close contacts to take an at-home COVID-19 test every morning for five days after exposure to the virus.

Surry schools to offer hybrid learning while awaiting mask town hall - Smithfield Times

Surry County Public Schools has announced this week will be a hybrid instruction week while the district awaits a Thursday town hall meeting on masks. Superintendent Dr. Serbrenia Sims posted on Facebook Sunday that parents can choose to send their children to school or allow them access to instruction virtually at home.
