Amherst school officials to appoint committee for input on library content review policy | Planning is underway for appointment of a committee that will advise the Amherst County School Board on a media selection policy for addressing concerns of sexually explicit content and instructional material in school libraries. The board discussed a potential media selection policy during its July 28 work session. | | |

Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) is offering a webinar series to assist school board members, superintendents, and administrators in improving their leadership skills. Dr. Noal Cochran, our dynamic speaker, at the VSBA Conference on Education introduced this series with his keynote presentation, “Worry 'Bout Dem Der Gators in Da Water”— An Introduction to Leadership. This session is designed to help leaders identify their feelings and understand the connection to emotional responses from others.
