Snow Reminders

As we prepare for anticipated snow accumulation this week, below are a few winter reminders:

  • Refuse & Recycling Cart Placement: Carts should always be placed at the end of your driveway and not in the street. This is especially crucial during snow events. In the event that there are refuse and recycling collection delays due to weather, Pellitteri will update their website with that information.
  • Alternate Side Parking in Effect: If/when possible, please park off-street during a snow event. If it is not possible to park off-street, then Alternate Side parking shall be followed. View Alternate Side Parking Webpage. Please note that Alternate Side Parking is always in effect, November 15 to April 15, regardless of the weather conditions.
  • Snow Shoveling Requirements: No accumulation of snow or ice may be permitted to remain for longer than 24 hours regardless of the source of snow. View Snow Shoveling Requirements Ordinance. Please be salt wise. View Be Salt WIse flyer for more information on smart winter salting tips.
  • Following Snow Plows: When you see a plow, give them space to work.

Be safe and enjoy the snow!
