Mission San Juan Capistrano celebrated the Fifteenth Annual Battle of the Mariachis Festival on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in the historic Mission courtyard. The festival featured participation of 12 mariachi groups from three states, including California, Nevada, and Arizona.
A sold-out audience of more than 3,000 guests experienced the exciting performances from the groups who range in age from elementary school to university and professional level. As the famous swallows of Capistrano flew overhead, the Mission was filled with spirit of inspiration and community as music created a common bond between all in attendance.
Mission San Juan Capistrano congratulates and thanks all of the participating groups for their hard work and tremendous performances.
