FUNDING RESEARCH
TO DISCOVER CURES FOR NEUROENDOCRINE CANCERS

VIEW THE STANFORD & CFCF NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE VIDEOS NOW!
(L-R) Dr. George Fisher and Dr. Pamela Kunz, Stanford, with Ron Hollander, CFCF Exec. Dir.
This year's Neuroendocrine Tumor Patient & Caregiver Educational Conference attracted 300 attendees and nearly 600 viewers from 22 countries for a day of learning and discussion on the latest research and advances in diagnosis and treatment for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The event was co-sponsored  by Stanford University and the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation in collaboration with  the University of California San Francisco and the Northern California CarciNETs community. For those who were unable to attend in person or via the webcast, the videos are now available!

The day featured presentations about the latest developments in clinical care, nutrition, making sense of information on the web, the latest advances in treatment, living with NETs, and our exciting immunotherapy initiative. The informative sessions, Q&A and panel discussions, and networking between distinguished medical professionals and fellow patients all made for a successful day. We thank each of our presenters, researchers, panelists, patients, and participants for contributing to this day of learning and helping advance our mission to discover cures and more effective treatments for neuroendocrine cancers. A special thank you to Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals and NET Alliance for their sponsorship of the conference.
CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL TEAMS RIDE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER RESEARCH

We are proud to report that the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation's Cycle for Survival teams had successful rides in both Boston and New York, helping to raise money for neuroendocrine cancer research.  CFCF's Team Rowan, captained by Hap Rowan, cycled in New York this year and have so far raised over $15,000. CFCF's Boston team and other New York team, captained by Dave McCoy, have so far raised over $35,000 combined. Donations can be made to these teams and this great cause through April 1, 2015. All donations are earmarked for Diane Reidy-Lagunes' lab to study neuroendocrine cancer.
Cycle for Survival is a nationwide indoor team cycling event that works in collaboration with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Together with Equinox, Cycle for Survival raises money to fight rare cancers by funding critical research. For our two teams and three events this year, all funds raised go directly to the most promising neuroendocrine cancer research at MSKCC. Cycle for Survival raises funds for clinical trials and research studies, paving the way for better, more effective treatment options for those fighting rare cancers.

A tremendous thank you to the team captains and to all the participants and supporters of Cycle for Survival. We are inspired by your efforts to raise the funds to support neuroendocrine cancer research.
