Philomena has lived in Barrio Logan for most of her life. She has been a relentless advocate for public safety and senior citizens in our community. When the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal Port Expansion project was proposing more pollution for Barrio Logan and jeopardizing the health of her family, Philomena joined EHC. Today, she is a SALTA graduate, a Barrio Logan promotora and is currently leading a truck survey study to monitor air pollution in her neighborhood.

Philomena ha vivido en Barrio Logan la mayoría de su vida. Ha sido aguerrida defensora de la seguridad pública y las personas de la tercera edad en nuestra comunidad. Cuando el proyecto de Ampliación de la Terminal Marítima Tenth Avenue planteaba un aumento en la contaminación que sufriría Barrio Logan y un mayor riesgo a la salud de su familia, Philomena se sumó a EHC. Hoy, es egresada de SALTA, promotora en Barrio Logan, y actualmente abandera un estudio de tractocamiones para monitorear la contaminación atmosférica en su barrio.
