Great American Defense Community 2022

Antelope Valley has been recognized as a Great American Defense Community 2022 by the Association of Defense Communities. This program shines a light on the regions and individuals that are making a difference. The program was designed to recognize and celebrate communities with an exceptional commitment to improving the lives of service members, veterans and their families.

Vets 4 Veterans, with our Veteran Training Program overseen by John Parsamyan, is honored to be part of this recognition .

The following video was presented at the INSTALLATION INNOVATION FORUM in Phoenix AZ in October.

Vets 4 Veterans President, Gerry Rice, was invited to sit on a panel discussion during the Forum, where the presenters discussed what it was that created the "Spark" to the organizations that support military active duty and veterans in the community.

Thank you Mary for our wonderful Thanksgiving Feast

This is when the vets gather around a shared meal. It means good food, it means family, it means acceptance and care for each other. On a daily basis the vets gather to feed their bodies and their spirits.

If you would like to contribute to this important part of our program, just let us know. You can make a financial donation, or you can prepare a meal to bring to share with 6-10 veterans. Or, arrange for your favorite restaurant to join and pledge a Meal A Month to help these vets reestablish themselves as strong contributing members of the community.

If you are a business owner, or know of a business, that would be interested in Sponsoring a Vet for training give John a call at 661.728.6137. Vets 4 Veterans Surviving Spouse Program

Our Surviving Spouse Program has been actively assisting Surviving Spouses with resources and assistance as needed. This quietly efficient program is greatly appreciated in a time of need.
Times are increasingly difficult for everyone and we must be attuned to the needs of the veteran’s surviving spouse who may not have access to veteran benefits any longer.
Immediate need assistance is provided to surviving spouses on an individual basis with proof of dependency.
