Review:

"The first vintage of this special wine is quite a debut; ruby red in color, with great aromatics of red cherry, beet root, and anise with subtle oak tones. The wine has a great attack, and is quite suave on the palate. A Pinot Noir from the zone that shows the perfumed, elegant side of the varietal.  Very fine tannins that are subtle yet provide a silky grip.  Elements of pomegranate, orange peel and red berries are all framed nicely with fresh acids. This is textbook medium bodied Pinot that shows the intense side of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir."

        Very stylish and delicious."

ABOUT WHOA FARM:

Our single focus is to supply sustainably grown organic food at no cost to the people most in need in our community of Sonoma County, CA. Work Horse Organic Agriculture (WHOA) Farm, a 501(c)(3), started by Wendy Mardigian and Eddie Gelsman in 2010, grows thousands of pounds of "The Best Food Money Can't Buy" each year and gives it free of charge to organizations in Sonoma County that serve thousands of families under the poverty line who do not have access to fresh organic produce.

In 2012, the first WHOA Farm Pinot Noir was produced from the 5-acre Crane Vineyard, nestled between two agricultural sites on Petaluma Hill Road. The vineyard was planted to vines beginning in 2005, and now includes Dijon clones 115, 667 and 777, and a rare clone of Italian origin known as VCR 18. The vines are dry farmed. The wine was crafted gratis by Guy Davis of Healdsburg's Davis Family Vineyards.
