Giving Kids the Advantage

Healthy Futures Is Underway

Healthy Futures, our winter in-office educational program began on October 17th. Our kids are excited to participate in hands-on reading and writing activities, cooking demonstrations and STEM experiments.

This winter we will have our community partners from Cornell Cooperative (CCE) Extension and SUNY Polytechnic leading our kids again with fun and engaging learning demonstrations. CCE joined us on October 24th to lead a fun cooking demonstration with our kids. Check out the fun photos below.

There are spaces still available. You can register here.

Excellence Program Participants

Begin Tennis and College Prep

Our Excellence Program participants began tennis practice and college prep sessions the 2nd week of October. Part of our mission is to ensure we are helping our kids prepare for college and all that comes with it.

The group meets once a week and students also have one-on-one sessions to make sure they are on track to meet their goals. Students work through a five-year curriculum that ends with the college application, financial aid and decision process.

Regeneron Builds Us a Shed for their

Day for Doing Good

We want to give Regeneron a big THANK YOU for building us a new shed as part of their Day for Doing Good (D4DG). They spent two days building it on-site and many hours preparing ahead of time. We are so appreciative of all their hard work. You can see below that the old shed was falling down – with doors that were no longer even attached.

This is the 5th year they have volunteered their time to make our office a better space for our kids. Projects have ranged from garden clean up, adding inspirational quotes to our walls, painting fun murals on the exterior of our building, and now they engineered and built us a shed. We are looking forward to organizing our garden tools back inside and getting ready for the colder months ahead of us.

"Every year we are humbled by the time Regeneron volunteers spend with us and the passion they bring to each project." said 15-LOVE Executive Director Amber Marino. "Every time someone new comes to our office, we hear comments on the projects Regeneron has done for us. They make our space so much more inviting, fun, and now safe & organized. Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers and to everyone behind the scenes that makes this all possible not just for us, but for so many non-profits. You all are amazing!"

Please enjoy the before and after photos of this fun and very much needed project.
