The nominating committee of the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for consideration in the election of two (2) members for the Board of Directors to serve a three year term from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017. We would encourage you to consider nominating yourself or a key member of your organization.

Accepting a seat on the Board of Directors is a privilege that requires a commitment and responsibility in several areas. Among those required by the By-Laws are:

These forms are sent out each year to make sure our database is the most up-to-date it can be.  It is very important for you to return this verification form to our office. We want to make sure you continue to receive information from us and we want to make sure we are giving out your correct information to individuals and businesses who call with needs of goods and services.

Verification forms are only sent to the key contact person for each member.

Speed Networking has quickly become one of the most popular events for Valpo Chamber members.

Structured and fast-paced, this event allows participants to interact with other professionals one-on-one, for a set period of time. So get out of the office and walk away with more new contacts in one afternoon than some make in six months!

On October 7th, the Valpo Chamber staff will be volunteering for the Valpo Parks to help build the new ValPlayso. 

We are excited to be participants in this event that has brought the entire community together.

The Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy encourages individuals to be trustees of their community, to work for the common good, and to become a leader for the entire community. The program uniquely focuses on connection and engagement in community service - specifically, leadership roles.

The mission of the Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy is to provide a growing pool of volunteer leaders for current and future civic, charitable, and governmental organizations in Valparaiso.

The Academy complements other leadership organizations with a focused training on the skills and knowledge necessary to be an effective leader in the community. However, the Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy is not just about training. At the end of the program, many participants become engaged with community organizations in leadership roles.

Thank you to all the attendees of the new Country Chamber-ee!  Everyone dusted off their cowboy boots and enjoyed the rootinest, tootinest event in Valpo Chamber history! 

The Porter County Expo Center's Buggy Wheel Pavilion, provided a great backdrop for the event and the weather couldn't have been better.  

Special thanks to Dickey's Barbeque Pit for food that was fantastic.  

To top the evening off, the band HIGH NOON, who have recently been signed to a Nashville recording contract, provided the lively entertainment.
