First Pickleball Tournament at San Vicente Resort

On Saturday, June 29, pickleball competitors of all skill levels, from recreational to advanced, came together at the resort to play on 12 courts. Eighty-two pickleball players competed in Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed divisions.

Tournament Lead and avid pickleball player Nim Miranda, the SDCEA Executive Assistant, suggested and meticulously planned every aspect of the event. She reached out and collaborated with an experienced and well-known Tournament Director, Dorcy Norton, to make the day a success.

July’s Employee of the Month

Station Cook Luke Taliaferro of the Food and Beverage Team was awarded Employee of the Month by Executive Chef Ben Peterson.

PGA Jr. League Season-End Match

The PGA Jr. League wrapped up its 2024 season with 33 participants aged 6-13. Four groups competed against each other in a scramble format. Parents cheered their kids on. After the match, players and families enjoyed a pizza party at the putting green.
