VALLEJO PD INVESTIGATES JANUARY 14, 2023, FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
VALLEJO, CA - On January 14, 2023, at 7:04 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department received a call about a single-vehicle collision in the 300 block of Swan Way.
On arrival, officers found that a 2002 Toyota Corolla left the roadway and struck the curb, some bushes, and a chain link fence. The initial investigation revealed the Toyota, driven by a 36-year-old male Vallejo resident, was traveling northbound on Swan Way when it left the roadway and collided with the listed objects.
The driver of the Toyota was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
The name of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The collision is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Corporal Lenard Alamon of the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division - (707) 648-4329.
This is the first death involving a motor vehicle this year. The Vallejo Police Department reminds motorists and pedestrians to use extreme caution on the roadways. Especially during our winter months.
