Giving Back this Holiday Season
During this season of holiday giving, Valero celebrates by giving back to our community. In total, Valero volunteers and employees have donated over 2,100 hours of their time in 2018 - including 600 hours during the United Way Time of Caring alone. The Valero Energy Foundation and the Valero Benicia Refinery recently distributed a total of $320,000 in grants to 28 local children's charities all in one day.

"These gifts enable our community agencies to continue their good work for the many children they serve. We appreciate all that these agencies do to improve children's lives. And it gives us great joy to be able to support the children of Northern California once again," said Don Wilson, Vice President and General Manager of the Valero Benicia Refinery.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
For the past 18 years, the annual Benicia Main Street Christmas Parade has allowed over 3,000 Benicia residents to watch local marching bands, dancers, homemade floats and the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus. The Valero Benicia Refinery is proud to have participated in this community tradition this past weekend. Special thanks to Randy Dart and Chris Draper from our Fire & Safety Department for driving the fire engine and participating in the festivities with their children.
Valero Volunteers
Volunteers from the Valero Benicia Refinery recently spent time with robotics and engineering students at Benicia High School. Students learned about careers at the refinery and worked on creating their own elevator pitch.
