Stations of the Cross
Join us in church to pray the Stations of the Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays during Lent beginning Friday, February 19th at Queen of the Rosary church. For those still unable to join us, we will live-stream Stations of the Cross to our websites and Facebook pages.
Weekly Rosary
Each Tuesday, we pray the Rosary in church at St. Julian Eymard. While we're still limited in gathering and some may not be able to join us, we will live-stream the weekly Rosary for the faithful. Follow this link to view the weekly Rosary via live-stream, but please know that until we "go live" on Tuesday evening, the previous parish live-stream event will remain on screen.
We Hear You!
This Sunday is Commitment Sunday for the 2021 Annual Catholic Appeal. If you haven't already returned your pledge form, please follow this link to make your donation to this year's Annual Catholic Appeal online.

The ACA offers a wonderful opportunity to answer Jesus’ call to “Come, follow me…and bring hope to the world.” And this year, we hope that when we exceed our Appeal goal, the rebate funds will help us improve our sound and live-stream capabilities at Queen of the Rosary and St. Julian.

We thank you for your generosity to the Annual Catholic Appeal.

It May Be OLBS Calling...
As the global pandemic continues to hamper in-person gathering, we are trying new and different ways to reach out and connect with our parish family. If you see QR Church or an unknown number on your caller ID, it might be OLBS. Here are two ways we're trying the telephone to connect right now:

1) Pre-recorded messages from Fr. Dan letting you know about important changes or upcoming events. These calls will show QR Church in the caller ID. If you miss the call and have any questions, please feel free to give the parish office a call.

2) Outreach calls from our Love Thy Neighbor ministry. We are trying to reach every parishioner by telephone just to check in and see how everyone is doing or if there is anything we can help with. These calls are being made by fellow parishioners and so may show as a blocked or unknown number. If you let the call go to voicemail but want to connect with us, please call the parish office and we'll help you out.

Finding God In Our Grief
When we lose someone we love—a parent, sibling, spouse, friend or worse a child—the
sorrow sometimes overwhelms us. Even the most faith-filled among us may struggle
with loss. It’s important to remember that grief is not a curse, but a call to a deeper
relationship with God.

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament is looking to offer a Grief-Sharing Group for those mourning the loss of a loved one. Do any of the following describe your grief journey:

  • Struggling to pray, feeling abandoned by God?
  • Loss of interest in attending Mass or other events?
  • Questioning God’s reasoning in calling your loved one to Him?

To learn more about the Grief-Sharing Group and help us with planning, please complete the poll to the right or call (847) 956-0130 or e-mail the parish office. In our community of faith, nobody grieves alone.

Car manufacturer Toyota aired a commercial with a strong pro-life message on Super Bowl Sunday featuring the story of Paralympic 13-time gold medal-winning swimmer Jessica Long. It hasn't been easy, but it's been amazing.
VIRTUAL TOOLBOX
We may still be limited in gathering and need to keep our social distance for a little while longer, so we remind you that we have the following virtual tools to help us stay connected:

Daily Prayer. Follow this link to review daily prayer, or signup to receive daily prayer delivered right to your inbox.

Weekly Bulletin. Download the weekly parish bulletin when you are unable to attend Mass.

Live-Stream. We have live-stream available for Sunday liturgy and some daily Mass from both churches: QR and SJE.

Let's Get Social. Like or follow us on Facebook to receive news and updates in real time and join the conversation: QR and SJE.
DID YOU KNOW?
We rely on the help of more than 50 volunteers each weekend to celebrate four Sunday Masses with our OLBS family. When we have Baptisms, Weddings and other celebrations on Sunday, additional volunteers are needed. In addition to traditional roles of Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Communion and Altar Server, volunteers greet, check-in, help seat guests, spray hands upon entry and again at Communion and help sanitize our worship space between services. We could not continue to celebrate Mass without our wonderful volunteers!

We are grateful for your continued generosity to the needs of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament family during this time. In addition to dropping or mailing your donation to church, you may give online where you may make weekly contributions to our parish family and keep the vital ministries and services we provide going. We thank you for your generosity!
