It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden death of a former member of the RAAMC and
RMO of 7 RAR, CAPT Bob Porter. I had the pleasure of working for CAPT Porter, a National Serviceman, during my tour in Vietnam with the 7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. I am advised that he died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Newcastle on Friday 7th January 2011. The family intend to hold a private service this week, but are planning to hold a memorial service in early February. Click here to view a short video of Bob's service.
