Quick Reminder: Masks must be worn by students, faculty, staff, and visitors on all UAM campuses when social distancing is not possible. The University of Arkansas Board of Trustees passed a resolution on August 11 requiring masking policies for all UA System institutions. Face coverings should be worn in public indoor settings on all campuses when individuals cannot remain distanced, regardless of their vaccination status. Thank you for following this policy to protect our community and prevent COVID-19 spread.

Should I get a COVID-19 vaccine? If you have questions specific to your individual medical history, please discuss them with a health care provider. Vaccines have been proven to both reduce the likelihood of contracting the virus and significantly lessen the symptoms and severity of those who may still contract COVID-19 after being vaccinated. The CDC still recommends face coverings for vaccinated individuals in areas with high rates of spread, including southeast Arkansas. Did you know you can get tested AND vaccinated at UAM? No appointment is needed! The Mainline Testing Site in Maxwell Hall offers COVID-19 vaccinations to UAM students and employees during operating hours. The Testing Site continues to offer COVID-19 screenings, including rapid tests for employees and students who are symptomatic or who may have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. You are welcome to call in advance to see if there is a wait, but it is not required. Mainline is located in the Maxwell Hall annex (formerly the Graphic design & Copy Center). It is open on weekdays when the university is open, from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The office is closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. - Noon. Contact Mainline at UAM at (870) 224-0647.
