VBS REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1ST
Coming to Vineville this summer: Hero Hotline Headquarters, the beating heart of the hero community where everyone’s gifts are valued and every hero has a role to play, will be setting up shop from June 12th – 16th. Each day at the Headquarters, superheroes of all ages will spring into action as they learn to share the great story of God’s love with both their community and the whole world.

Registration for Hero Hotline VBS has opened for Vineville families in Realm. Children, ages 4K - 5th Grade, are invited to come and discover their strength in God. (Children aged 2K and 3K are welcome with an adult volunteer.) 5th graders will, once again, participate in a week of service around the Macon community.

As we know, early learning and ministry in a child’s life is so important in shaping his/her full life in Christ. Research shows that almost 80% of adults who attend church decided to follow Jesus before the age of 18, and 50% of those chose to do so before the age of 12. VBS plays a huge role in this early faith formation. God is definitely at work at Vineville during VBS, and it is awesome to see each year!

Every summer, we have an awesome group of adult and youth volunteers that help make VBS the impactful week that it is, from decorating to teaching to shepherding to snack making! I would love for you to be a part of the VBS team this summer. If you would like to volunteer, please email me at rmccurry@vinevillemethodist.org.

Register early, invite your friends, and join us for Hero Hotline where we are called together to serve God!

In Christ,
SUMMER CAMPS
The fun and learning will continue once Hero Hotline flies on to its next stop. We have two exciting summer camps for preschoolers and elementary-aged children.

Starting on June 26th, preschoolers are invited to attend Tell Me the Stories of the Bible Camp where we will explore some of the most beloved Bible stories through song, art, movement, and play. This camp is for children ages 3K – 5K. Registration has opened in Realm.

In July, elementary-aged kids will have fun at our All Stars of Faith Sports Camp. We will play a new sport each day, learning what it means to be a good teammate on the playing field. We will rediscover the stories of the Hall of Famers of faith from Hebrews 11 as we learn, too, how to be a good teammate in our Christian life. Registration has opened in Realm.
SENIOR FORMS OPEN
Senior recognition and scholarship forms are open! Youth group members and members of the church graduating this May are encouraged to participate in our senior recognition program and scholarship opportunity. Both forms can be found on the Vineville website in the "Vineville Youth" section under "Connect & Grow".
The deadline for senior recognition is April 17th. Be sure to send a high-resolution baby picture and a senior picture to mhaines@vinevillemethodist.org and have both forms completed in order to be included in the senior recognition program!
Scholarship applicants need to email a transcript and senior resume to mhaines@vinevillemethodist.org.
EASTER LILIES
It's not too late to order Easter lilies for our Easter service on April 9th! You can find the order forms in the narthex and the lobby, or you can order them in Realm under the "Events" tab.

The deadline for ordering is April 2nd- be sure to place your orders before then to be a part of decorating the sanctuary while honoring those you love.
CATERPILLARS AND COATS
Coats
On Palm Sunday as Jesus made his way into Jerusalem, the people cut palm branches and put them and their cloaks in the road to pave the way for Jesus. It was an act of devotion. It was a declaration of his status as King.

For the last several years we have collected coats, not cloaks, on Palm Sunday to be shared with schools and clothing ministries. Centenary UMC has a clothes closet. Our own Melissa Rodriguez is the Executive Director who oversees that outreach ministry. Our coat collection will reach those in need with Melissa’s help.

Please bring your gently used outerwear to worship this Sunday. Place the coats on the kneeling rail in either the CLC or the sanctuary. Chances are that most of us have coats in our closets that could help others stay warm.

Caterpillars
Don’t forget to bring your caterpillars back this Sunday, April 2nd. By now they really miss their friends! We will put them all together and have the newly hatched butterflies in worship on Easter. There are baskets at the entrances for you to drop them off on your way in the church.

Peace,
COFFEE WITH CLERGY
I want to invite all new members and visitors to coffee with the clergy. Teresa, Jon, and I would love to spend some time with all of you. We will gather on Sunday, April 16th at 9:45 in the dining room. There will be pastries or doughnuts, so get a cup of tea or coffee from Holy Roast and join us. We will make some introductions, take a tour of the building and answer questions.

If you have joined the church in the last year or have been visiting and want to know more, then this is for you. Maybe you have been here longer than a year but are looking for a new place to get plugged in or want to learn about our Sunday school offerings- you are welcome too. Email me at jasbell@vinevillemethodist.org, so we will have enough chairs and food.

Peace,
CARING TIMES THREE UPDATE
Wow! We have had a great response from so many of you to make our new ministry Caring Times Three a reality. I am so thankful for your caring hearts and willingness to serve in this way.

At this point, our next step is organizing the teams for cards, calls, and casseroles. Right after Easter, we will be ready to get the ball rolling in all three areas. I will be in touch with all those who volunteered with the details you will need to get started whether it be cards, calls, or casseroles at that time. If you know of someone who would benefit from receiving a card, call, or casserole, please let me know! Please be in prayer that God will use these simple yet powerful caring acts to bring joy and healing to those in our church and community.

Lenten Blessings,
