VBS Registration Opens April 1st
|
Coming to Vineville this summer: Hero Hotline Headquarters, the beating heart of the hero community where everyone’s gifts are valued and every hero has a role to play, will be setting up shop from June 12th – 16th. Each day at the Headquarters, superheroes of all ages will spring into action as they learn to share the great story of God’s love with both their community and the whole world.
Registration for Hero Hotline VBS will open on April 1st in Realm. Children, ages 4K - 5th Grade, are invited to come and discover their strength in God. (Children aged 2K and 3K are welcome with an adult volunteer.) 5th graders will, once again, participate in a week of service around the Macon community.
As we know, early learning and ministry in a child’s life is so important in shaping his/her full life in Christ. Research shows that almost 80% of adults who attend church decided to follow Jesus before the age of 18, and 50% of those chose to do so before the age of 12. VBS plays a huge role in this early faith formation. God is definitely at work at Vineville during VBS, and it is awesome to see each year!
Every summer, we have an awesome group of adult and youth volunteers that help make VBS the impactful week that it is, from decorating to teaching to shepherding to snack making! I would love for you to be a part of the VBS team this summer. If you would like to volunteer, please email me at rmccurry@vinevillemethodist.org.
Register early, invite your friends, and join us for Hero Hotline where we are called together to serve God!
In Christ,

The fun and learning will continue once Hero Hotline flies on to its next stop. We have two exciting summer camps for preschoolers and elementary-aged children.
Starting on June 26th, preschoolers are invited to attend Tell Me the Stories of the Bible Camp where we will explore some of the most beloved Bible stories through song, art, movement, and play. This camp is for children ages 3K – 5K. Registration will start April 1st in Realm.
In July, elementary-aged kids will have fun at our All Stars of Faith Sports Camp. We will play a new sport each day, learning what it means to be a good teammate on the playing field. We will rediscover the stories of the Hall of Famers of faith from Hebrews 11 as we learn, too, how to be a good teammate in our Christian life. Registration will open on April 1st in Realm.

GUEST PREACHER THIS SUNDAY AT VINEVILLE
|
|
I am excited to welcome Rev. Lynn Meadows-White to Vineville this Sunday. Lynn and I went to seminary together. She is a lifelong United Methodist growing up at Saint Simons United Methodist Church.
Currently, Lynn is serving as Vice President of Church Relations and Chaplain at The Methodist Home. She is a good friend, an excellent preacher, and a passionate advocate for the children at our Home. You will be blessed by her!

For the past 10 years, part of our Lenten journey and Easter preparation has involved bugs. Our caterpillars are here, and for the next week, you can watch them grow and witness their dramatic transformation.
As we watch and wonder at these amazing creatures, we are invited to consider our own growth and how God is at work transforming us. Young and old alike enjoy this visual reminder of God’s creativity. Be sure to pick up your caterpillar before they are gone!
We will also be collecting coats as we have done the past several years on Palm Sunday. We will give all donated coats to local organizations in the community.
As always, we appreciate your generosity!

CARING TIMES THREE UPDATE
|
|
Wow! We have had a great response from so many of you to make our new ministry Caring Times Three a reality. I am so thankful for your caring hearts and willingness to serve in this way.
At this point, our next step is organizing the teams for cards, calls, and casseroles. Right after Easter, we will be ready to get the ball rolling in all three areas. I will be in touch with all those who volunteered with the details you will need to get started whether it be cards, calls, or casseroles at that time. If you know of someone who would benefit from receiving a card, call, or casserole, please let me know! Please be in prayer that God will use these simple yet powerful caring acts to bring joy and healing to those in our church and community.
Lenten Blessings,
