The chance to gather around tables and eat together is always rewarding. Food service will begin at 11:30, so those who go to the 9:00 service and Sunday school will not have to wait long. The 11:00 crowd will be down when that service is over.

You can register here on Realm. The cost is $15 for adult plates and $6 for child plates (10 and under) with a max price of $45 per family.

It is going to be a great time and, hopefully, a great fundraiser for the mission trip. Make your reservation by tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon to guarantee your spot.

Peace,
WORSHIP MUSIC PLAYLIST
Get the Playlist for the 9:00 Service

Each of us has a jukebox in our brain. We can hear just a note or a word, and instantly, the lyrics are coming out of our mouths. We carry those tunes with us. When they come on the radio or when we hear them at a party, we hum or sing along. Similarly, we know the words to many of the hymns because we have sung them for years. Worshippers don’t sing as confidently when a song is unknown. In an effort to increase our confidence in singing, we have put out a playlist.

Mike has put together a playlist for the next 5 weeks. We will add to it in the near future. You can access the list by clicking either of the links included here. There is one for Apple Music and one for Spotify. The playlist is called Worship at Vineville. It has the music that Mike and the band will be playing over the next few weeks. If we listen as we move through our weeks, we can show up better prepared for worship. If we know the music we can sing without having to think about it. The words will reach to deeper places in more meaningful ways.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER
Rise Against Hunger

One of our favorite mission projects is meal packing for Rise Up Against Hunger. This annual event is full of intergenerational fun, work, and satisfaction. One of the great things about this night is that in two hours or less, we can feed 12,000 people. There are very few opportunities to have that kind of impact with that little time commitment.

We will pack meals on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:15. Pizza will be available at 5:15. You can eat when you get here. We will crank up the music and the assembly line at 6:15. The meal and event are free, but we need reservations. We actually need two reservations, one for dinner and one for the event.

Both links are included here to make it easy for you. Take care of it right now, while you are thinking about it.

Make your reservations and join us for a night of fun and mission as we Rise Against Hunger!

CONFIRMATION AND SKI RETREAT RECAPS
We had an awesome trip to St. Simons this past weekend attending the South Georgia Annual Conference Confirmation Retreat. Our 6th graders were invited to "Join the Journey" along with other confirmands from the state as well as some from South Carolina. With beautiful weather and shining sun surrounding us, along with the gnats, we sang, worshipped, and played; we learned about God's grace and shared Holy Communion with each other. Bishop Graves spent the whole weekend with us and led us in our session on Sanctifying Grace. On Sunday, confirmands from each church laid hands and prayed over the Bishop. It was a special and holy moment.

Thank you for your prayers; we are grateful for our church family.
A few weekends ago, 58 youth and leaders traveled to West Virginia for a great weekend of skiing, fellowship, and drawing closer to God. Youth ministers are supposed to spin everything positive, so I'll spare you all that and let the kids tell you about the trip

"I had such a great time skiing and getting closer to God with the people I love the most. The skiing was something new that I tried out and loved. I fell many times and have the bruises to show it. The devotions were the best! As we sang the songs I began to listen to the lyrics and really sing from the heart. This ski trip was an amazing experience that I will never forget."
-Carsie Sims

"Ski trip is more than just a trip, it’s more like a family vacation. It’s a time where you can leave your stresses in life behind and focus on what really matters."
-Sarah Grace Strickland

Thank you for your prayers for safety and a meaningful time together! It was a great weekend!

LOOKING TO HOLY WEEK
I want to encourage all of us to start thinking and praying about who we will invite to Holy Week and Easter worship. This is one of those times of year when people think about going to church. The number one reason individuals give for why they came to church is “somebody invited me.”

With more people leaning towards church in the Easter season it is the best time for us to be invitational. Make a short list of folks you will invite. Begin praying for them now. Keep your eyes and ears open to others that you encounter. God could use you to help an individual or a family find their place here at Vineville.
