FALL EXERCISE CLASSES STARTING SOON
Starting September 11, the 10-week fall exercise classes begin! The classes are led by Natalie Barfield and will take place in the CLC and dining room. The sessions include a mat class from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a chair class from 11 a.m. to noon. These free classes are a great way to stay healthy while spending time with others! For questions, call the church or contact Natalie at nbbar@cox.net.
SUNDAY SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES
New Sunday School Class
Starting September 10 at 10:00
Location: Bridge on 2C
Beginning September 10 in the Bridge at 10 am, a new Sunday School class is starting that will bring people of different ages, perspectives, and life experiences together with the common goal of growing in faith. Meeting in The Bridge on 2C is appropriate as we will build a bridge between different ages and perspectives while building a bridge between Sunday School and worship. If you haven't been part of a Sunday School class, we invite you to join us. All you have to do is show up. There is no advance preparation needed; just bring yourself and a willingness to contribute to the discussion by talking and listening, learning and growing. We hope to see you there!
Women’s Intergenerational Book Club
Starting September 11 at 10:30
Location: Library
The Women's Intergenerational Book Group kicks off on Monday, September 11, and runs for six weeks, ending on October 16. Our book for the fall is Holy Companions: Spiritual Practices from the Celtic Saints. The Celtic saints lived in uncertain times, much as we do today. These men and women offer us much that is healing and strengthening as we walk with Christ into an unknown future. Their spiritual practices can inspire and instruct us in the lives we lead. If you have questions, contact Ann or Teresa:

Teresa: tedwards@vinevillemethodist.org
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Starting September 6 at 10:30 am
Location: Library
In his book Words of Life: Jesus and the Promise of the Ten Commandments, Adam Hamilton asks the question, "What if the Ten Commandments were not just a set of ancient rules but also a guide to experiencing the good life today?" The ancient rules we call the Ten Commandments still speak to us in 2023. Jesus embraced them as guideposts to help us experience a good and beautiful life. In our study of these timely words of God, may we find that good and beautiful life along the way.

Email or call Teresa Edwards to register for this class and put your name on the list for a book. I will be placing a book order myself, or you can purchase your own book through Amazon.
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made 2.0
Starting September 10
Sundays from 5:00-6:30
Location: Dining Room
All summer we have traveled through the nine personality types. We understand that we truly are fearfully and wonderfully made! We have been reminded weekly that knowing ourselves and others better helps us to be the people God created us to be and to love ourselves and others more fully.

This fall, we have the opportunity to go deeper into personality types, exploring various aspects of ourselves so we can grow in self-awareness. As United Methodists, we recognize that our spiritual journey is about moving toward perfection, which really means moving toward wholeness.

The Enneagram is a study of the nine basic types of people. It helps us understand why we are as we are, but it does more than that. It shows us the unconscious messages that drive our behaviors, messages that limit us to lesser versions of ourselves. It invites us to hear the messages of grace that lead us to wholeness.
