Program Title:  The New Era of Healthcare Reform: Is Your Communication Strategy Ready?

Presenter:  Mike Cody, Senior Vice President at Lovitt and Touch

The long-awaited Affordable Care Act is almost here and with it comes new compliance mandates for Human Resources, specifically in communicating this complex topic to your management and employees.  Healthcare Exchange?  Healthcare Marketplace? Medicaid Expansion? Individual Mandate?  Medical Loss Ratio Rebates?   It can be a new and confusing world for any HR or Benefit professional, but you will be expected to have the answers.

Healthcare Reform is requiring certain notices be provided to employees, but having them understand the nuances of this new law will be HR's responsibility. You will need to understand what applies to your organization and define a specific communication strategy, or there will be confusion among your employees, disruption in your workplace, and possibly costly decisions.  In this informative seminar, you will learn what and how to communicate to employees, what is required under HIPAA and ERISA, and what education and technology options may be available.

We are thrilled to have Mike Cody, Senior Vice President at Lovitt and Touch, lead this informative and interactive seminar.

There will be Q & A time during and at the end of the session.

Program Title:  THE WISDOM OF HR

Presenter:  Kathy Dryer, Executive Coach and Consultant

Wisdom is  a  most valuable resource; the rarest quality of all the riches in the world.

Regardless of whether or not you formally use competencies within your organization, as an HR professional you need to be harnessing the power of your wisdom!

For the past twenty-five years the Human Resource Competency Study (HRCS) has tried to answer the question of what knowledge and abilities are necessary for successful HR professionals. They have identified the six competencies that matter most and I'm suggesting that another be added. Wisdom.

What you will learn:  You will learn techniques that will help you to apply your knowledge and experience with the balance of wisdom to increase your professional, and personal, effectiveness.  You will also learn how to leverage your wisdom to help yourself and your organization make better decisions.

Kathy Dryer is an Executive Coach and Consultant who focuses on taking clients through a journey of exploration, inspiration and transformation in pursuit of personal and business effectiveness. In her practice, Kathy draws on her over 25 years of corporate experience in the field of Human Resources.  She completed her coaching certification from The Hudson Institute and is an ICF Certified Coach.  She is also certified in Lominger Leadership Architect, MBTI, Positive Psychology Coaching and EQ in Action. She holds a B.S. in International Economics from Rutgers University and the GBP & RBP designations from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
