VALLEJO, CA- On August 1, 2024, at approximately 09:45 A.M., the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call for service regarding a shooting inside a business on the 2000 block of Solano Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers immediately rendered medical aid to the male until medical personnel arrived, and he was transported to a local hospital.
On August 3, 2024, the male succumbed to his injury and passed away at the hospital. The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
The Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Detectives have taken over this investigation. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation at this time.
