Your Local Officers understand that some members may feel that having to be fit-tested is not the best use of their time. For respiratory protection, face masks need to be fit-tested annually as per Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. If your weight changes or you grew/loss facial hair, you should be fit tested at that particular time.
Not only is it important that you be fit-tested annually for your personal safety and the safety of your family, VNA must fit-test you as per OSHA’s standards and can be fined by the U.S. Government.
