The Golden Gala Recap!

Our first "Golden Gala" was a huge success and had over 60 attendees. Medical Staff gambled and danced the night away. Congratulations to all of our prize winners and thank you everyone for coming. We can't wait to do it again next year!

Congratulations to Dr. Kira McClellan, this year’s recipient of the highly sought after Physician of the Year award. Bestowing this honour was previous recipient Dr. Jason Doyle who has held the title for five years due to COVID and cancellation of the Gala last year. Thank you for taking such good care of the trophy, Jason!

Did you know...

We are excited to share with the VJH Medical Staff that the site created a new physician dedicated sleep room. The room is located on 2 North in the Jubilee Building.

We have some exciting data to share with the group! The audit results are in for biomedical waste at VJH. These reusable sharps containers have been rolled out throughout the hospital. We also have reusable cytotoxic disposal containers. If you think that your unit could implement one, please reach out to one of our committee members.

Finding your Way in Teamwork: Teaching Coaching Principles

Time: 17:00 - 19:00 PT

Location: Online

In this participatory and interactive workshop, participants will learn the attributes, skills and tools of high-functioning interprofessional teams and the critical role of developing psychological safety as the foundation of healthy teams. When teams are able to cultivate these elements they are more able to create a positive work environment, rekindle joy in their work, optimize their team’s performance, and increase the quality and safety of care for patients.
