Dear FJG Family,
As you gather with your families and friends tomorrow, I encourage you to take a step back and reflect on what you are thankful for.
Among the many, I am primarily thankful for our talented group of team members. Thank you for the hard work you do to make The Franklin Johnston Group remarkable. Without your commitment, creativity, and high standards, we would not be the thriving company we are today.
I would also like to take this time to thank our clients Marlyn Development, Croatan Investments, Gold Key | PHR, AIG, Rieder Holdings, MRK Partners, Standard Communities, and Tablerock Capital. We are honored to call you not only our clients, but our partners.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,

The HR Department organized the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Potluck. Everyone brought a dish to the party and the day was spent enjoying the food and being thankful for each other. (And also very thankful for each others incredible culinary skills!)

Be the Solution Winners
Congratulations to the following team members for taking extraordinary measures to
Be the Solution
at their communities:
Delonte Kelly, Maintenance Supervisor, Fort Chaplin
Delonte was nominated by Aaron Kuykendall (Operations Analyst) and Destiny Pardo (Community Manager). Aaron wrote: "During my Leonardo training sessions in Northern Virginia this week, Delonte sat front and center and was fully engaged in the training. He asked a ton of questions, both about the desktop version as well as the mobile version, and went so far to ask if there were things we could add into Leonardo. He explained that he wanted to hold my guys accountable for their time and requested I add additional checklists into Leonardo. He even offered to put together a checklist of things he'd like to see. You could see that he is fully committed to this software and is now extremely excited to start using it. He walked out of the training talking about how he just received 14 vacant units and was excited to see mobile app to complete unit turns.
Sincere Jeffries, Community Manager, The Oaks of Dunlop Farms
Sincere was nominated by NIketa Washington, Community Manager, at The Arbors at Towne Park. Niketa wrote: "Early Wednesday morning, before most of us were out of bed, The Oaks at Dunlop Farms experienced a Property Manager's nightmare: an underground pipe had burst, causing water to flow freely on the property. Sincere's team responded immediately, and she quickly followed suit. Before most of us had our first cup of coffee, Sincere was at the property, ready to tackle whatever came her way. Calls from residents trapped on the property due to the flood and the possibility of having to bear the financial burden of extensive repairs didn't stop Sincere. Not only was she front and center to offer support to her team, Sincere was able to speak to the Fire Department and convince them to call the city to take care of the repairs. Amazing! While the repairs were underway, Sincere somehow found time to make her way to the newly acquired community, Riverview, (to offer support to a new manager, Sylvia), just as the Culture Committee arrived. Sincere's enthusiastic and cheerful personality along with her passion for TFJG and her team impressed us all. Sincere continued her busy day at The Oaks. The leak had been repaired. Residents were happy. Her staff was happy due to her amazing rapport with the local Fire Department, her property didn't have to pay for the damage.
Cindy Davis, Leasing Specialist, The Crossings at Heritage
Cindy was nominated by her Community Manager, Pamela Jennings. Pamela wrote: "On May 8th I was promoted to Community Manager of Crossings at Heritage. In addition to taking on all the new responsibilities as Manager, I also needed to find and hire the best person possible to take over my former position as Leasing Professional. I found Cindy, who actually recommended by one of our long-time residents. Even though Cindy had no leasing experience, I knew after interviewing her that she possessed just the right capabilities and qualities to be a great fit for the Leasing Professional position.
Ricky Medina, Assistant Maintenance Supervisor, Springhouse
Ricky was nominated by his CM, Saundra Beltz. Saundra wrote: "Ricky is such an important part of the team and the TFJG core values shine through in everything he does. He is always going above and beyond for any team member and especially for the residents. A couple of times a month we get compliments from the residents about Ricky and some residents request him to take care of their maintenance needs because he is always outgoing and personable with the residents. On top of regular work orders he does all the turns on the 432-unit property as well as make sure units are ready after construction team turns them over. The Springhouse team is grateful for Ricky every day.
