Can You Help?
VIS receives many other serving opportunity requests that
are not published in this newsletter.
If you are able to assist with the below requests, or willing to assist with other requests please contact VIS. 616.459.7500
Mother's Helpers Needed: Five VIS Friends are seeking someone to provide assistance with household tasks that free them up to care for young children or infants. They are located in the
NE, NW and SE sections of Grand Rapids. As little as two hours a week can make a big difference
in the life of a young Mom. Contact David at dlundberg@visgr.org
Basic Carpentry Skills: If you have basic carpentry skills and "honey do" experience, we have VIS Friends who could benefit from your capabilities. Most projects are quite simple but our VIS Friends lack the knowledge/skill/tools to do the work themselves. They live in various parts of the city and suburbs. Contact David at dlundberg@visgr.org
Friendship: Catherine is 78 years old and is visually impaired. She needs someone to read her mail, her Bible study, and any other things that might come up. She would like someone once a week. Contact Debbie at dbjones@visgr.org. Location: Kalamazoo and Fuller.
Social Outings: Dee is 76 years old and struggles with her vision leaving her unable to drive. She would like someone who will occasionally go on outings with her. She is very engaging and used to be very active in her church as well as other social activities. Contact Rosemary at rtymes@visgr.org. Location: Kentwood near 52nd and Stauffer.
