HOMECARE NURSES ON-CALL ASSIGNMENT OBLIGATION PER YOUR CONTRACT

JNESO was informed that Homecare Nurses may not be aware of the on-call shifts of Weekdays versus Weekends. As an FYI, the weekend assignment includes Fridays.

ARTICLE 45-HOMEHEALTH

(Bottom of pg. 104 through the top of pg. 105)

45.9 Except as described below in this section, full and part-time employees may be required to be on call for not more than 12 weekdays per year and not more than 2 weekends per year. The on-call rate is described in Article 42. 


Weekday on-call hours:

5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.


Weekend on-call hours:

5:00 p.m. Friday to 8:00 a.m. Saturday

5:00 p.m. Saturday to 8:00 a.m. Sunday

5:00 p.m. Sunday to 8:00 a.m. Monday


Holidays on-call hours:

5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m


The Employer may create part-time positions whose primary obligation shall be to take call on a more frequent basis than outlined above. Such employees may also be required to work some hours during normal working hours. On weekends in the absence of the supervisor.
