From the College Counselor

On Tuesday, September 12 from 6-8 p.m., there is a College Fair at Blue Ridge Community College. This is an important opportunity for students to meet representatives from colleges across the southern region. Click here for a list of colleges from last year's fair. We highly recommend juniors attend!

Please join us in congratulating Wren Sherrill who was recently recognized by the Classic Learning Test as a CLT10 Distinguished Scholar. Way to go, Wren!

Warrior News

The Veritas Volleyball Teams had several matches last week. Our Varsity Team defeated Haywood Christian Academy 3-2, and also had a 3-0 sweep vs. Reynolds Mtn. Christian Academy. The JV Team lost to HCA 2-0, but bounced back to beat RMCA, 2 sets to 1. The MS team had three matches. Our girls beat HCA 2-0, lost to Asheville Catholic School 2-0, and then beat RMCA 2-1. Great job ladies!

The Warrior Soccer Teams were also in action last week. The Varsity Team beat the Asheville Trailblazers, 7-1. The Logic School Team notched their first win of the season by beating the Trailblazers, 3-2. Later in the week, the Logic School Team was defeated by Asheville Catholic, 3-0.

The VCA Cross Country Team had a warm-up meet at IC Imagine on Thursday. The meet was not scored as a team event, but there were a couple of runners who had high results individually. Callen Whitney finished third in the boys' middle school division, running the two-mile course in 13:47. Hannah Stage finished second in the girls' high school division, running the two-mile course in 15:01. We had many other runners turn in great times, as we continue to prepare for the meets that will be scored as team events.
