Reminders for the VCA Community

• Last week, we sent out a micro-survey. We ask that you fill this out before September 8. Your feedback is valuable as we move forward in our future endeavors. Thank you!

• The deadline to order additional Warrior T-shirts is this Friday. Make sure to place your order this week.

• Please mark your calendars for Parent Night, on September 7 at 6:30 p.m. At least one parent is encouraged to attend this important event. Parent Night is for all parents of students in 1st grade and above.

Q&A: New Facility Improvements

Over the summer, we had some folks who were busy at Veritas Christian Academy making some wonderful facility and campus improvements. Dr. Woods and Mike Jennings, our facility director, fill us in about all of these great things.

VCA Hot Lunch Ordering

Nurse's Corner

Greetings, Veritas families! Last week was a pleasure to meet new students and connect with the old. 

Immunizations: Each year, NC requires that all schools, public and private, file an immunization report. 

As we head into the new school year, all Kindergarten, 7th grade and 12th grade students are due for an updated immunization record. This is usually completed during their annual physical.

NC also honors families that choose medical or religious exemptions for their children. 

If your child is entering any of these grades, please provide an updated immunization record or a letter requesting an exemption. If you do not have a student in these grades, there is no action needed.

Warrior News

The Veritas Warrior Boys Soccer Teams each had a couple of matches last week. The Varsity Team won their two matches, defeating Temple Baptist and Pinnacle Classical Academy 9-0. The Middle School team lost both of their matches by a score of 3-2. The matches against Apple Valley MS and Pinnacle Classical Academy both came down to the wire.

The only Volleyball action was from our JV Team. Our ladies competed against the Varsity Team from Temple Baptist School and came away with a 2-0 victory.
